• The New Verbalizers was part of the vibrant Internet Week Europe, from November 7 – 12. On Wednesday November 9 at 2PM, Ellen had the pleasure to host a presentation/workshop “Idea Verbalizing in the 21st Century” in the ‘classroom’ of The Hospital Club.

• Easily accessible and action-oriented concept sessions for entrepreneurs, brand owners & teams (2H up to a whole day). Define the core of ideas and develop ideas into concepts.

Niehe Media asked The New Verbalizers to come up with a private dinner concept during the ’25 Years of.nl’ congress. During this dinner attendees went back in time through a movie clip of the British science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke in which he says “You can’t predict the future”. Opinion leaders then talked about important future questions and wrote the answers on the table. After all, we have to predict the future collectively to progress.

Ellen wrote the citizenMag Brand Book, and curated and wrote the first three editions in the witty tone of voice, including one-liners and the manifesto. After that, she connected with various editors/bloggers to edit issue 4 and 5. After 5 issues, the concept was ready to be handed over to the new curator Sabine de Witte of Blancotekst.

Although this plate was on a mission, it wasn’t until Ellen and idea developer/entrepreneur Jake Blok from IHAVEAWISH got together and developed the What Is That Taste concept which enabled the plate to play a central role to their mission: to let people taste more.

Soon more information on the roll out of this concept in 2011/2012.

Ellen Bokkinga: “Idea owners need help verbalizing their ideas. They should never get stuck because of not finding the right words to get their idea flowing. They need structure and words to let it ground. In my vision it is not about “writing” but about “verbalizing your choices”.

TEDxBaghdad is part of the “Ideas Worth Doing”-program of TEDxAmsterdam, one of the six projects chosen to be developed between May and November 2011. The initiator of TEDxBaghdad is Yahay Alabdeli. The New Verbalizers is the creative consultant of this most inspiring project.

• Promote Iraqi innovations and talents internationally.
• Connect Iraqi talents outside Iraq with Iraqi talents inside Iraq.
• Contribute to the reconstruction of Iraq as the capital for education and knowledge in the Middle East.

Hans Meyer/HotelsAhead: “Driven by the surge of the global mobile & flexible workforce and the new world of work, Zoku (working title) is being developed. A concept for a new type of sustainable hotel, facilitating international living and working. It offers a home away from home and an office away from the office for the global nomadic tribe who stays between five days and three months.”

The New Verbalizers helped the team behind Zoku verbalizing the value and philosophy of Zoku in a manifesto, and other conceptual texts.

Express Day is a day full of challenging questions and one-on-one-sessions between verbalizers and students. To get to the core of their contemporary fascinations which can be a direction for their future.
