Design & concept What Is That Taste
Once there was a square food plate consisting of five small spaces in various shapes and sizes designed by Ellen Bokkinga. It told the story of the language of food. This plate, named “Amuse5”, won the Unlimited Design Contest in the category Food during the Dutch Design Week 2009 in Eindhoven.
Although this plate was on a mission, it wasn’t until Ellen and idea developer/entrepreneur Jake Blok from IHAVEAWISH got together and developed the What Is That Taste concept which enabled the plate to play a central role to their mission: to let people taste more.
Soon more information on the roll out of this concept in 2011/2012.
